Modern Farmhouse: Dining Room
The dining room is the center of this household so we knew we wanted to make it standout. My client fell in love with this deep marine green that I also love (and used in the Restored Victorian). She is an artist and we knew we wanted to feature her paintings. With a color palate of dark and marine green mixed with blue, her paintings really shine. With views to the living room on one side and the family room on the other, the pop of color contrasts nicely from the white walls of the rest of the rooms.
With dark walls and bright white trim, we brought in bronze light fixtures and black decor elements. The chandelier has the farmhouse look while the teardrop sconces bring the room elegance. Working with their own farmhouse table, we brought in black high backed Windsor chairs and a slim glass console to for serving.
